Test Run- an awesome piece of diverse theatre mixing two forms of performance. beautifully performed and thought out.
Look at me now- incredible. truly moving and thought provoking. Aurora dances with meaning and intense presence.
so similiar yet undeniably different to any other VDT performance.
My favourite by far.
Congratualtions..another successful tour?!?!

I liked them both. Test Run was technically very good but I liked Look At Me Now Mummy better. It was more personal, rougher and it flowed. I liked the way that it veered from the theatrical to almost slapstick. I liked the bits where you felt you were watching someone's private fantasies, fears or pleasures being exaggeratedly enacted for her alone (not us). It was quite a departure from the two shows I have seen before and it was a pleasant surprise to see something more like physical theatre.

The dancing was fantastic.
Great use of props. Enjoyed reactions and manipulation of live sound.

The first performance was captivating the second more distancing. A very good standard of performance artful and provocative, skilful lighting and sound. I enjoyed being able to read the first piece in an open way, letting it wash through me.

I have never seen VDT's work before and I was blown away with Look at me now, Mummy. I felt I was let into a world that I shouldn't be in. Looking through a window at one woman's struggle with life. Powerful and hard hitting this was a very memorable performance. Look at me now, Mummy will definitely stay with me for a long time.

powerful, hard hitting, an emotional roller coaster, yet never really exploring the high notes in life, merely always reaching towards something unattainable and slowly sinking further into depression. As a piece of theatre I was moved to react in a multitude of ways to situations that adults would all relate to, there was laughter, but only to pave the way for more disasters, a success as a piece of dark comedy, as a piece of dance I was slightly disappointed as the performer promised so much. Her moments with the balloon stuck to her finger showed a movement potential that I would have liked to have seen explored further in other episodes. My problem is with the genre, as a teacher of both dance and drama I was confused. This would certainly have appealed to my drama exam groups and was a wonderful exploration of characters.
Thanks for the invite lots of inspiration.

Fantastic, amazing interplay between musicians & dancers. Has inspired me to do something similar (I am also a musician who dances).
